Don't get a Lockwood angry. You won't like them when they're angry. In The Vampire Dairies' September 9 premiere, Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino) is surprised to see his long-absent, black sheep of the family Uncle Mason (Taylor Kinney) turn up for the funeral of his dad, the mayor. But a bigger surprise comes when Mason drops the bomb that werewolfism runs in the Lockwood bloodline! "Mason has learned to harness his rage and is going to serve as a mentor to Tyler," says Taylor. "I've come to teach Tyler that there are choices he can make to control his destiny as a human...or otherwi...

Argentina became the first Latin American country on Thursday to legalize same-sex marriage.

Lawmakers in the Senate passed the bill after 14 hours of debate that began Wednesday and carried well into early Thursday morning, the state-run Telam news agency reported.

The bill had already passed the lower chamber of Congress.

It gives same-sex couples equal marriage rights, including the ability to adopt children.

The law was backed by the center-left government of President Cristina Kirchner, who has said she will sign it.

The majority Roman Catholic country follows a few others around the world where same-sex marriage is legal. Among them are the Netherlands, Belgium and Spain.

Last month’s congressional vote and Wednesday’s Senate vote are the latest moves in a pro-gay marriage trend in Argentine politics.

Last year, a judge in Buenos Aires ruled that a ban on same-sex marriage was illegal, paving the way for such marriages in the capital of Argentina.

An injunction by another judge stopped what would have been the first same-sex marriage there.

Ultimately, Latin America’s first same-sex marriage happened in Argentina in a southern state with a pro-gay marriage governor.

I don’t think it will be Navid because he’s trying to get Adriana back. Liam?? Now that would be juicy. I just hope that it isn’t Teddy. I know he has an amazing body but I don’t really like his face, lol.

Sources close to the production of 90210 have revealed that one of male characters - Matt Lanter‘s Liam,Michael Steger‘s Navid, or Trevor Donovan‘s Teddy – will be coming out of the closet in the upcoming season!

Co-Executive Producer Jennie Urman reveals:

“We want to address the issue in a real and relatable way.”

A lesbian high school student in the middle of a battle against her school’s prom policy received a $30,000 check toward her college education on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

DeGeneres presented Constance McMillen with the oversized check on Friday from Tonic.com, a digital media company that describes itself as a group dedicated to promoting the good that happens each day.

McMillen, an 18-year-old student from Mississippi, made headlines when she challenged her school board for its rules that prevent her from bringing her girlfriend to the prom. The school ultimately canceled the April 2 prom after McMillen’s request.

“It’s always easy to be quiet, especially when you know somebody might tell you ‘no’ or it’s going to cause a scene,” DeGeneres said. “And I love that you’re not trying to do anything but go to prom. That’s what every kid deserves to go do is to go to prom. It’s a big deal.”

The American Civil Liberties Union has sued the school on McMillen’s behalf, seeking an order for the school to reinstate the prom, and allow McMillen to wear a tuxedo and to bring her girlfriend. A hearing is scheduled for Monday.

A person who answered the phone at the Itawamba County’s superintendent’s office said no one was available to comment. She declined to give her name.

News that ABC is looking to transfer Desperate Housewives‘ Dana Delany to a new procedural next season would seem to suggest that her late-in-life-lesbian alter ego, Katherine, is headed straight off Wisteria Lane. But that may not necessarily be the case.

First off, Delany’s deal to join the cast of Body of Evidence is still not done. And second, even if the Emmy winner does sign on the dotted line, there’s no guarantee the pilot will become an actual series. “You never know with pilots,” Delany shrugs. “Many of them never get off the ground, so all this talk could be rendered [pointless]. But I am realistically hopeful. I love the [Evidence] character, so I hope it all works out.”

Delany’s ideal scenario has her headlining Evidence next season and making occasional guest appearances on Housewives. “[Series creator] Marc Cherry [promised] he would not kill me off and told me I was always welcome to come back to the Lane,” she says. “I would love for Katherine to pop into town and say hi to the gang every once in awhile.”

In the meantime, Delany remains focused on finishing out this season of Housewives. Does she think Katherine’s big gay awakening will stick? “This might actually be her thing,” she says. “It may make her happier than she has ever been. She does not have the best track record with men to begin with.”

Coincidentally, Delany’s current on-screen squeeze, Julie Benz, also landed an ABC pilot — the super-powered drama No Ordinary Family. For her part, Benz hopes the simultaneous bookings will result in a happy ending for Katherine and Robin. “I love the idea that those two may ride of into the sunset together.”

Gay self hater

After being arrested for a DUI after leaving a gay club and coming under a considerable amount of scrutiny due to his position on Prop 8, Senator Roy Ashburn has admitted publicly that he is, in fact, gay!!

However, the douchebag stands by his numerous votes against gay rights!!

Ashburn said today in an interview:

“I am gay… those are the words that have been so difficult for me for so long. But I am gay. There’s never been a doubt in my mind on the position of the … vast majority of people in my district … on these different issues. And I voted as I felt I should on behalf of the people who elected me. I’ve always believed that my personal life is personal and I have a public role, a public job, a public responsibility. But I felt I could keep the two separate. What happened … through my own actions the other night changed all that.”

“When I crossed the line and broke the law and put people at risk that’s different and so I do owe people an explanation. And so the best way to handle that is to be truthful and to say to my constituents and to all who care that I am gay but I don’t think its something that has affected nor will it affect how I do my job. I pray to God that I can find peace and I want to go back to work in the Senate.”

Hookups. Bacchanalian nights. Fights. You can expect all that on The Real World: DC (premieres Wednesday, 10/9c), but the 23rd season of the MTV series will also mark a shift in tone as the eight twentysomethings get socially involved, interning at various political establishments around the city. “I think it will be a pleasant surprise to see that not only can you go out and take shots, get to know people and have fun,” cast member Mike Manning tells TVGuide.com, “but at the same, you can wake up the next morning and meet with a congressman about global warming or about equal rights or marriage equality. See what else the 22-year-old, who worked with the Human Rights Campaign, had to say about his experience, what to expect this season and why he hates being called the “token gay guy.” My friend asked if I would audition and I tagged along because he promised me free lunch. It was just random. … I won’t forget the look on his face when they were like, “All right, thank you very much. Oh wait, Mike, you can stay.”

TVGuide.com: Why did you audition?
Mike Manning:

TVGuide.com: When the cast was revealed, people called you the “token gay guy.” Does that bother you?
Mike:
Yes, because I hate categories. I hate America’s obsessive need to fit every peg into a hole and everything into a category. You always create a family by creating outsiders and I think that’s wrong. When they [called me] “token gay guy,” I think most Americans think of stereotypes within that title — “Oh, he doesn’t like sports. Oh, he’s whiny, he’s going to cry. He’s going to be good at fashion.” I suck at fashion! I just recently learned how to match — you can’t wear brown shoes with a black shirt. [Laughs]

TVGuide.com: Your bio says you’re questioning whether you’re bisexual or gay.
Mike:
Yeah. Growing up in Colorado, when I thought of gay people, I thought of, like, the Village People and feather boas — that’s the problem. I thought, “I don’t walk around with makeup and stuff, so I must not be gay.” That’s a terrible, terrible way to go about things. Over the course of living in D.C., I came to know that even more. I think “bisexual” has a negative connotation to it, so I’d hate to [label myself that], but in 20 years if the right girl comes along, I’m not going to be like, “Oh, I’m sorry, I said I was gay 20 years ago. It’s not going to work.”

TVGuide.com: In the first episode, you casually reveal to everyone that you’re gay. Did you plan to do that?
Mike:
I actually didn’t want to tell them. I wanted to wait awhile to tell them. I got the question thrown in my face and I said, “You know what? If they’re going to take me seriously, they’re going to be with OK with it, then I need to portray that I’m OK with it and I take myself seriously.” I went there prepared to live with seven strangers and I’m not going to pretend the waters are calm if someone splashes around.

TVGuide.com: You guys get politically and socially involved this season with the jobs you do. Why do you think it’s taken so long for The Real World to be more than a party show?
Mike:
I actually didn’t watch the show prior to going to D.C., so I don’t really know a lot about what it was like in the past. But I think that making this season in D.C. [is a factor]. It’s during a time when the youths are engaged in politics like never before and when the youths are aware of global warming and human rights and so many other issues they know will affect their lives in five, 10, 20 years. It’s a byproduct of where we were.

TVGuide.com: You worked with the Human Rights Campaign. What did you do for them?
Mike:
I lobbied congressmen and I’d go to fundraisers and press [events]. I think the viewers — especially young viewers — will really enjoy it. It shows young people that, hey, it’s not that intimidating to pick up the phone and call your congressman or your senator. I called the White House the other day about meeting with world leaders on climate change in Copenhagen. A year ago, I could never, ever have even thought of doing that. … I was in D.C. last week, talking to my boss about getting a job there after I graduate in May. If the cards play out, I’d be more than happy to move to D.C.

TVGuide.com: Speaking of moving, there’s a rumor that Ericka moved out midseason.
Mike:
I’ll just say [that] you’ll definitely see the best and worst of everybody. Just from watching the trailer and watching clips, it’s so much fun to see how eight completely different people interact with each other. There are hookups and there is drama, of course.

TVGuide.com: Who were you closest to?
Mike:
It’s kind of ironic, but in the beginning I thought Andrew was terrible — this Jeffrey Dahmer creeper. [Laughs] But he has such a big heart and you’ll see us getting closer throughout the season. Emily and I hit it off right away. She and I are so similar in so many ways. We call each other twin by the end of the season.

TVGuide.com: Is there anything you hope they won’t air?
Mike:
Nope. I think I portrayed myself pretty well — professionally but also real. As a 22-year-old going through life-changing circumstances, I think they captured that really well and I think Bunim/Murray [Productions] will do a good job showing everyone’s true colors.

UCLA researchers have discovered that stem cells can be engineered to kill HIV as the equivalent of a genetic vaccine! Scott Kitchen, assistant professor of medicine in the division of hematology and oncology, explains:

“We have demonstrated in this proof-of-principle study that this type of approach can be used to engineer the human immune system, particularly the T-cell response, to specifically target HIV-infected cells.

These studies lay the foundation for further therapeutic development that involves restoring damaged or defective immune responses toward a variety of viruses that cause chronic disease, or even different types of tumors.”

So much for A Shot at Love III. Reality star Tila Tequila is engaged to Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson.

Besides tweeting the big announcement, Tequila, 28, took to her Web site to share the good news — and her new jewelry — with her fans via video. “Tonight, my beautiful girlfriend has just asked me to marry her and check out this rock,” said Tequila, whose real name is Tina Nguyen.

It is unknown how long the couple have been together. Tequila was dating National Football League star Shawne Merriman as recently as early September, when she charged her then beau with battery and false imprisonment and was hospitalized following a physical altercation between the two.

CBS’ The Early Show is standing by its decision to blur the image of Adam Lambert kissing his male keyboard player during the American Idol runner-up’s American Music Awards performance.

The Early Show, which added Lambert to its Wednesday lineup of guests after ABC’s Good Morning America canceled his scheduled appearance on its show, came under fire for intentionally blurring the image when discussing the controversy that the performance and the kiss created. The Early Show did not, however, edit the image of Madonna and Britney Spears kissing at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, as the discussion turned to other controversial performances.

“The Early Show’s decision this morning to blur Adam Lambert’s kiss from the American Music Awards reinforces an unfortunate double standard that is applied to openly gay performers,” Jarrett Barrios, president of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, said in a statement.

The CBS morning show responded with a statement of its own, according to Entertainment Weekly. “We gave this some real thought,” the statement read. “The Madonna image is very familiar and has appeared countless times including many times on morning television. The Adam Lambert image is a subject of great current controversy, has not been nearly as widely disseminated, and for all we know, may still lead to legal consequences.”

ABC received more than 1,500 complaints about Lambert’s performance, which closed Sunday’s AMAs. The singer said during his appearance on The Early Show that he got carried away in the performance, but he did not apologize. “I’m not a babysitter, I’m a performer,” he said.

Take this with a grain of salt, as there aren’t any photos.

Taylor Lautner was spotted at LAX last night to pick up his significant other ( the rumor is) Sean Fox (Zastoupil) who flew in from Las Vegas to hang out with Taylor for the end of the week. They were seen making out at popular Club Dollhouse earlier the week before and also seen shopping in the Trendy Meat Packing district in NY. Interesting to see where this might end up?

Fox wants Glee’s Chris Colfer closeted

America’s favorite Wednesday evening queer Chris Colfer may have made a slip-up regarding his sexual orientation in a recent interview with Advocate magazine causing Fox executives to scramble to their closets, pulling Colfer by his Prada bag in the closet with them.

Chris Colfer plays Kurt Hummel on the hilarious Fox dramedy “GLEE”.

You know it, I know it, there is not a doubt in our mind that Colfer is gay in real-life. In fact, he’s so gay that he has decided to open up to the press about it, accidentally of course.

Step 1, talk to America’s gayest magazine, the Advocate.

Fox executives freaked out and decided to blow the whistle after the magazine asked Colfer if he was “out” during his high school years, in which Colfer responded “Oh, no. People are killed in my hometown for that!”

From The National Enquirer:

“Glee” star Chris Colfer’s slip of the lip during a recent interview sent show execs into a panic.

The 19-year-old actor… seemed to accidentally reveal his own sexual orientation while talking about the show in an interview.

When Chris was asked if he was “out” during his own high school years, he replied: “Oh, no. People are killed in my hometown for that!”

And while the disclosure – to “The Advocate,” a gay magazine – was no big deal for Chris, who was raised in Clovis, Calif., it was HUGE for studio execs.

“Fox wasn’t pleased,” an insider told The Enquirer. “They’re very protective of their young stars. And while the studio is pro-gay, they didn’t want Chris stamped with a ‘gay actor’ label so early in his career.

“They want him to be known simply as an ‘actor.’”

A rep from the studio asked the magazine to remove that part of the interview from the Advocate.com web site.

“The gay thing is not an issue for Chris at all,” the insider maintained.

“He hopes his character is an inspiration for gay kids everywhere. But both he and the studio want his personal life to stay under wraps.”

The National Enquirer reports that Fox officials were so freaked out that they asked The Advocate to remove from their website any reference to Colfer being gay during the interview.

The Advocate still has some reference to Colfer being gay on their website that wasn’t removed.

Hubby Hubby!
Posted by Admin on Food, Gay

Beginning today, a Vermont law recognizing gay marriage goes into effect – and, to celebrate, ice cream company Ben & Jerry’s is renaming popular seller “Chubby Hubby.” The new name? “Hubby Hubby.”

While Ben & Jerry’s isn’t changing the labels on “Chubby Hubby” pints sold in stores – revising product labels takes 18 months – a wedding-themed truck will hand out free “Hubby Hubby” ice cream across the state today, including at the Vermont capitol. The creamery’s six in-state ice cream parlors will also sell limited-edition “Hubby Hubby” sundaes during the month of September.

Still, the company, which has been known to rename its ice cream flavors after liberal causes, hasn’t ruled out the idea of retailing “Hubby Hubby” in the future. “The legalization of marriage for gay and lesbian couples in Vermont is certainly a step in the right direction, and something worth celebrating with peace, love – and plenty of ice cream,” Ben & Jerry’s CEO explained.

Bookends
Posted by Admin on Gay, Movies

In last year’s WATCH OUT, Matt Riddlehoover caused a stir at LGBT film festivals as a man so in love with himself that he has sex with a blow-up doll plastered with his own face. Now, in the character-driven, Woody Allen-esque dramedy BOOKENDS, Riddlehoover is somber and just as convincing as a man painfully and unrequitedly in love with a straight man. Slated to hit DVD later this year, BOOKENDS is Riddlehoover’s follow-up to his gay-themed comedy TO A TEE that took MySpace by storm and revolutionized the way (gay and straight) independent filmmakers utilize the social networking site.

:: WATCH THE VIDEO ABOVE
:: CLICK HERE FORE MORE ABOUT BOOKENDS

BOOKENDS, which was shot prior to WATCH OUT and had a limited theatrical engagement, centers around eight twenty-somethings who gather together to celebrate the birthday of a mutual friend. Before the evening concludes, relationships are tested, hearts are broken and passions are renewed. The film is packed with laughs and features several handsome faces, like TO A TEE’s Jonas Brandon and NYC singer-songwriter Ervin Stellar. Thashana McQuiston (WATCH OUT), Starina Johnson (STUCK!), Tia Shearer (MAKE-OUT WITH VIOLENCE), and Lindsey Hancock (TO A TEE) round out the cast.

Riddlehoover used Stellar’s album PAST, TENSE as a companion piece when writing the screenplay and snagged nearly every track for the film’s ambiance, including a lovely acoustic cover of Air’s “Playground Love”. If not for Stellar’s sultry sound, you’ll definitely want to check out his record for the full-frontal cover art! Jazz songstress Linnzi Zaorski and autuer Steve Balderson also lent themselves to the soundtrack, making BOOKENDS one swingin’ good time!
